John Wall is a former No. 1 pick, a franchise player for the Washington Wizards and one of the young phenoms of the NBA. Julius Hodge was a great college player that faded from most people's memories after failing in the NBA. But for one day, they were equals, thanks to a North Carolina Pro-Am pick-up league in Raleigh. This video of Wall and Hodge going at it is really must-see TV.
In the end, Hodge scored more points (20 to 12), but Wall won the game and the highlights. The Charlotte Observer reports:
But Wall got the best of Hodge in the end, drawing a foul in a tied game with 0.9 seconds left and making his free throws to give Triangle Gastroenterology a 73-71 win over 751 South in a Greater NC Pro-Am summer league game on Tuesday night at N.C. Central.
Hodge also mocked the John Wall Dance at one point, which was very funny. Wall responded by mocking, uh, something, since Hodge isn't cool enough to have his own dance.
