Since the latest collective bargaining agreement was ratified in 2005, the Dallas Mavericks and New York Knicks have paid a combined $334 million in luxury tax.
The other 28 NBA teams have paid a combined $374 million in luxury tax over that term.
The Knicks account for 26 percent of all luxury tax accrued over the six-season CBA. The Knicks have a winning percentage of .370 -- third-worst in the NBA -- over the span.
