Of the 100 Reasons to Love Rasheed Wallace, the number one reason will always be the best: He got kicked out of the McDonalds All-American game. You have work hard to get kicked out of an all-star game. It's like getting kicked out of a summer league game.
Which brings us to DeMarcus Cousins in D.C. this weekend... It's hard to get a technical in a loosely-officiated summer league game. You'd have to do something that's not only disrespectful, but also just annoying. You'd have to basically throw the ball out of the gym.
Cousins, the 5th overall pick in the 2010 draft, had a tough game, picking up a technical foul in the first half after tossing the ball outside the gym door in frustration after being called for traveling.
Oh. Well then.
Good to see his summer's picked up where his season left off.
Yes, in the Kings' season finale he was ejected after reportedly telling a ref to "shut the f*** up." Which... LONG LIVE DEMARCUS. He's the heir apparent to Rasheed, and his showing at this weekend's Goodman League just cements his potential. On its own? No big deal. As part of a pattern of behavior that's both enigmatic and highly entertaining? Yeah, kinda great.
So, if he's following the Rasheed Wallace career path... Will this lead to him one day handing out championship belts to Jimmer Freddette and Tyreke Evans? And then explaining his impending meeting with the President, saying, "I ain't going to say s**t to him"? We can only hope.
Until then, he'll just have to watch out for the refs.
As Rasheed once said, "A lot of them cats are felonious, man." FELONIOUS.

That's classic DMC right there
But in last season’s finale, didn’t he say “shut the f**k up” to Odom, not the refs? Small detail, I know.. just wondering.
