More details are emerging on the alleged Javaris Crittenton drive-by shooting that broke on Friday. After a warrant was issued for Crittenton's arrest for the murder of Jullian Jones, Atlanta Police Department spokesmen spoke with the media. They revealed that he faces homicide charges, but is not currently in custody. The police believe Crittenton is in Los Angeles, reports the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
The FBI has also been brought in on this investigation, the police said. They and the APD are investigating a shooting that supposedly took place around 10:00 p.m. ET on Aug. 19. Jones was, according to witnesses, walking with two men, one of whom the police believe was the intended target. Jones was struck in the hip and died at the hospital while being operated on. She leaves behind four children.
There is no news on when investigators believe Crittenton will be in custody or if he will turn himself in.
