Why It's Still Tough To Sympathize With NBA Players

Sure, we can blame the NBA Lockout on overzealous, billionaire owners looking to make even more money than they already do, but it's still kinda tough to sympathize with NBA players. Does Joe Johnson really need a 500 square foot closet for his 436 pairs of shoes?

"I just thought this would be a cool idea, and it would almost look like a museum. I had a fingerprint sensor put on the door to make sure I’m the only one who can get in here."

I mean, really.

Between his Mission Impossible shoe closet, his truck with three flat screens, his $120 million in guaranteed money... "Joe Johnson" might be the single best argument the owners have in all this.

This dodes not compare to the owners, however.

These owners are ruthless multi-billionaires who have made their money exploting and taking advantage of others. that’s how i can continue to empathize with the "struggles"of the players.

Why pick a side? Is it a rule that you have to or something?

I just wan’t a sustainable model that provides continuity and improved parity because as a fan I want the NBA continue long term and competative balance keeps things interesting.
