LeBron James enjoyed a fairly quiet few months away from the spotlight, but after a quiet summer, get ready to see a lot more of LeBron in the coming weeks. He's promoting McDonalds' Monopoly game, and sort of, kind of, shows he's got a sense of humor about himself.
As AdAge explains:
In Mr. James' spot, the voice-over begins to say what the odds of LeBron James winning seven championships are, only to be interrupted by Mr. James, who says, "Aw, c'mon man." Then the voice-over adds, "Odds of LeBron winning a prize, one in four."
Check out the ad after the jump.
As McDonalds' marketing director says, "We thought we'd have a little fun with him, and he was totally fine with teasing and poking a little fun at himself with the notion of the odds of winning seven championships." Because if he can't prove his critics wrong... Well, as the saying goes, it's better to have them laughing with you than at you. Right?
