Kevin Love's Minnesota Timberwolves will meet up with Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers in an ESPN game scheduled to begin at 10:30 on Friday night.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have rarely made it to national television broadcasts the past few seasons unless it was the random Tuesday night game on NBA TV. Ricky Rubio has changed that this season, however, as the Wolves will meet up with the Los Angeles Clippers in a game scheduled to tip off on ESPN at 10:30 p.m. on Friday night.
The Timberwolves enter their contest with the Clippers on a two-game winning streak as they've posted victories over the Sacramento Kings and Detroit Pistons already this week ... the latter win being a bit surprising considering Minnesota trailed 38-22 at one point in the contest. Kevin Love is showing out as of late, too, as the power forward is averaging 29.3 points and 14 rebounds in Minnesota's last four outings -- though he's got stiff competition Friday night in the form of Blake Griffin.
Los Angeles enters the game as winners of four of their last five games, but the Clippers will likely be without point guard Chris Paul once again as he recovers from injury. Lob City hasn't really missed him too much yet, though, as it was Mr. Big Shot (and fellow point guard) Chauncey Billups that hit a clutch three-pointer to get the Clips a win over the Dallas Mavericks earlier this week.
