Rockets Vs. Lakers: Kobe Bryant Pours In 37, Proves He Really Will Keep On Shooting

Kobe Bryant took 29 more shots as the L.A. Lakers beat the Houston Rockets 109-99.

When Kobe Bryant claims that he will continue shooting no matter what, you are advised to believe him. After an awful weekend from the floor -- 26 percent over two games against the Denver Nuggets -- the L.A. Lakers' star took 29 field goal attempts against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night. Thankfully for the Lakers, he made more than 26 percent of them.

Kobe went 14-29 from the floor and 7-9 from the line to score 37 points and lead L.A. to a 108-99 home win over Houston. Kobe's matchup Kevin Martin struggled, shooting 5-17 from the floor and earning just a single free throw en route to 12 points. Kyle Lowry was, per usual, Houston's best player with 22 points on 8-19 shooting, 10 rebounds, nine assists and two steals.

Andrew Bynum was a beast for L.A, with a double-double animal-style with 21 points and 22 rebounds. The Lakers are 2-1 since his season debut on Saturday. He was suspended for the first four games of the season due to a nasty hit against J.J. Barea in the playoffs last season.

Since Bynum has returned, Bryant has averaged 25 field goal attempts per game. Pau Gasol has averaged 12 and Bynum has averaged 15.
