The NBA Finals runner-up will play its first preseason game on Wednesday.
The NBA preseason continues Wednesday with some of the leagues marquee teams in action. Leading the way are the Oklahoma City Thunder, who will play their first game since the NBA Finals on Wednesday. The Thunder will visit the Houston Rockets, who will be displaying a young roster led by Jeremy Lin.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers will get their preseason schedule started Wednesday, as they host the Portland Trail Blazers. Dwight Howard will not be in uniform because he has yet to be cleared to play due to his back injury.
It will be the first game for Portland rookie point guard Damian Lillard and center Meyers Leonard.
The full schedule for Wednesday's action is below. All times listed are ET.
- Raptors at Pistons, 7:30 p.m.
- Thunder at Rockets, 8 p.m.
- Pacers at Timberwolves, 8 p.m.
- Hawks at Spurs, 8:30 p.m.
- Suns at Kings, 10 p.m.
- Trail Blazers at Lakers, 10 p.m.
