The NBA preseason continued on Saturday with a bevy of close games around the league.
The NBA preseason is in full swing and saw plenty of hotly-contested affairs on Saturday.
The New York Knicks and Boston Celtics played one right down to the wire in Connecticut, with New York edging out a 98-95 win behind Carmelo Anthony's 23 points.
Staying in the Atlantic Division, the new-look Brooklyn Nets defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 108-105, in overtime. Gerald Wallace scored 18 points while Nick Young led all scorers with 21 of his own.
In China, the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Miami Heat, 99-89. DeAndre Jordan poured in 18 points while LeBron James and Chris Bosh each had 11.
The Minnesota Timberwolves knocked off the Chicago Bulls, 82-75, with a huge effort from Nikola Pekovic, who notched 16 points and 17 rebounds.
At the Staples Center, the Utah Jazz took care of the Los Angeles Lakers, winning 99-86. Kobe Bryant led all scorers with 18 points, including 12 from the free-throw line.
The Milwaukee Bucks hammered the visiting Detroit Pistons, walking away 108-91 victors. Ersan Ilyasova collected 22 points and seven rebounds to pace Milwaukee while Andre Drummond amassed 19 points and 10 rebounds in a losing cause.
Finally, the Washington Wizards defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers, 99-95, with Brian Cook, Jordan Crawford and Bradley Beal all scoring 14 points to lead the team.
