Milwaukee Bucks rookie forward John Henson will miss the next two weeks with a left knee sprain and bone bruise, according to the team's official Twitter account.
Henson suffered the injury in Milwaukee's Tuesday night preseason loss to the Chicago Bulls. Prior to the injury, Henson played 12 minutes and scored just four points. Henson was 1-of-4 shooting, and grabbed one rebound and also had one assist.
Milwaukee selected Henson with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. Henson was drafted out of the University of North Carolina, and spent three years with the Tar Heels before declaring for the NBA Draft. In 2011-12, Henson nearly averaged a double-double, averaging 13.7 points per game and 9.9 rebounds per game.
Milwaukee will open the regular season on Friday, Nov. 2 in Massachusetts, when they take on the Boston Celtics. Henson's injury puts his status for Milwaukee's season opener in doubt.
