Chris Bosh led the way with 21 points and seven rebounds as the Miami Heat held off a late charge from the Charlotte Bobcats to win, 98-92. Ray Allen chipped in 15 points, and LeBron James added 10 points and eight assists. Kemba Walker and Ramon Sessions led the Bobcats with 24 points. This game was played at PNC Arena in Raleigh, N.C., home of the NC State Wolfpack basketball team.
The Indiana Pacers trounced the Cleveland Cavaliers, 100-82, led by 15 points and eight rebounds from David West. Danny Granger made his preseason debut, scoring nine points in just over 12 minutes of action, and D.J. Augustin added nine points and 11 assists. Kyrie Irving led the Cavs with 20 points, and rookies Tyler Zeller and Dion Waiters added 13 and 12 points.
Carlos Boozer had a big game for the Chicago Bulls, putting up 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead them to a 94-89 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Harrison Barnes and David Lee both had 16 points to lead the Warriors, and Jarrett Jack and Carl Landry each had 13. Marcin Gortat led the Suns with 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Luis Scola added 16 points.
