Good news for Golden State Warriors, as for the first time in nearly nine-and-a-half months starting center Andrew Bogut practiced with the team on Monday afternoon.
Bogut was limited to just 12 games during the 2011-2012 season after fracturing his right ankle in January.
Despite the good news though, it is uncertain exactly where Bogut stands heading into Wednesday night's opener in Phoenix against the Suns. Bogut mentioned earlier in training camp that he would've liked to play a preseason game or two before taking the court in the regular season, however, the preseason came and went, without Bogut getting any game action. Following their opener, the Warriors return to the Bay Area for their first home game Friday against Memphis.
Still, this is good news for a Warriors team which finished just 23-43 during the lockout shortened 2012 campaign.Bogut will bring size to a Warriors front-court, as in 12 games last year he averaged 11 points, eight rebounds and three blocks.
