The Jazz mounted a late comeback effort, but came up short against the Warriors.
The Utah Jazz made their preseason debut on Monday in an 83-80 loss to the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors are now 2-0 in preseason play.
David Lee led the way for Golden State, finishing with 19 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists. Stephen Curry played less than 12 minutes in this contest, contributing just two points and six assists. Utah tried to make a late run, led by center Enes Kanter. The second-year big man added 12 points and 11 rebounds off the bench. Marvin Williams and Paul Millsap each had 13 points to lead Utah.
In international play, the Toronto Raptors hosted Real Madrid. The Raptors, with many new additions, looked strong in a 102-95 victory. DeMar DeRozan led Toronto with 18 points. Off the bench, John Lucas added 16 points in his first game with the Raptors.
The Cavaliers defeated Montepaschi Siena, 91-85, in Cleveland. Samardo Samuels was the top scorer for the Cavs, putting up 14 points along with seven rebounds.
