New Orleans Hornets forward Anthony Davis will miss Tuesday night's game against the New York Knicks with a left foot injury, and his status for New Orleans' contest against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday is in doubt.
Davis tweaked his ankle while scoring a career-high 28 points in New Orleans' 117-113 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night. Davis reportedly tweaked his ankle on multiple occasions last week, but luckily for Davis, the injury is not believed to be serious.
Davis, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, was expected to play in New Orleans' Tuesday night contest against the 7-1 Knicks as recently as Monday, but did not feel well enough on Tuesday to play.
Through his first six games in his NBA career, Davis is averaging 16 points per game, to go along with 8.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game. New Orleans' rookie forward missed two games earlier this season with a concussion.
The Hornets consider Davis to be day-to-day.
