With the game tied at 102-102, both Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul missed potentially game-winning shots to close regulation. The Thunder then took control early in overtime when Westbrook and Kevin Durant hit a pair of three-pointers to take a four-point lead. The Clippers could not overcome the deficit for the rest of the extra period.
Durant lived at the free-throw line to lead the Thunder, shooting 19-21 from the charity stripe for 35 points on the night. Westbrook added 23 points, while Kevin Martin pitched in 20 points in 35 minutes off the bench.
Oklahoma City moves to 9-3 with the win and will take Thanksgiving Day off before playing on the road against the Boston Celtics on Friday. The Clippers are now 8-3 and also hit the road Friday against the Brooklyn Nets.
