The New York Knicks will be without veteran point guard Jason Kidd on Monday night as the team takes on the Brooklyn Nets. Kidd has been a key part of New York's strong start to the season, and presence on both ends of the court will be missed at the Barclays Center. Reports indicate he has been dealing with back spasms in recent days.
The 39-year-old guard is averaging eight points and a little more than three assists and three rebounds per game. His 2.1 steals a night rank him amongst the best in the NBA, and the Knicks will have to change their gameplan around with Kidd not able to guard Deron Williams. Look for Raymond Felton to play extended minutes with Kidd on the bench.
Tonight's tipoff from Brooklyn is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. For those of you wanting to catch the game, TNT will be televising all of the action.
