The Los Angeles Lakers have confirmed that their superstar Kobe Bryant will be ready to go tonight against the Indiana Pacers. Bryant missed the morning shootaround due to flu-like symptoms, but head coach Mike D'Antoni has confirmed that the Lakers' shooting guard will get the chance to play tonight.
According to Kurt Helin of Pro Basketball Talk, Bryant posted on his Facebook page about being "under the weather" and "drinking a lot of fluids". Bryant said he was dealing with aches and chills as best as he could with rest and medicine.
Bryant being out would have put a great deal of strain on the Laker bench, as Steve Nash is already out with a small leg fracture. So far Bryant is having an excellent start to his regular season, shooting over 51% from the field, 41% from three point range, hitting 87% of his free throws, dishing five asissts, grabbing five rebounds, and averaging nearly 27 points per game.
