NBA schedule 2012: James Harden returns to Oklahoma City

Brett Davis-US PRESSWIRE

The schedule is packed with 11 games including a homecoming of sorts in the Thunder game.

The NBA has 11 games queued up for Wednesday night, including some marquee match-ups across the country.

In the game of the night, the Oklahoma City Thunder host the Houston Rockets in James Harden's return. Houston has been mediocre thus far at 7-7, but Harden has been excellent as the leading man, scoring over 25 points per game.

Oklahoma City has been solid with at 11-4, beating the Utah Jazz in its last game. It should be a high-scoring contest, with the Rockets ranking third in points per game and the Thunder coming in at No. 2.

On the East Coast, the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics will square off for the second time this season and the first at TD Garden. In their first game, the Nets dominated the glass and eventually won, 102-97.

Now, Brooklyn is flying high after beating the New York Knicks in overtime on Monday. Boston, on the other hand, is 8-6 but not playing all that well. Its only quality win at this point was against the Thunder.

Out West, the Minnesota Timberwolves take on the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center. Even without Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love for most of the year, Minnesota is 6-7 and hanging around.

Los Angeles, on the other hand, looks capable of making a run behind Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, although it has lost its last four games.
