James Harden's return to his old digs continued to resemble something close to a nightmare on Wednesday night, as he ended the third quarter with just 10 points on 1-12 shooting from the field. His saving grace has been free throw line, where's he's gone 8-10. He's picked up just three rebounds, two assists and a steal and has turned the ball over twice.
As a consequence, the Houston Rockets finished the third quarter down 86-74 to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Oklahoma City has been led by Kevin Durant, whose put up 26 points on 8-16 shooting through three. Serge Ibaka, Russell Westbrook and Kevin Martin are all also in double figures for the Thunder, who have shot 53 percent from the field as a team.
The scoring slack for the Rockets has been picked up by Patrick Patterson's whose 25 points through three quarters are already a season high. Daequan Cook -- also making his return to OKC, though in a less heralded fashion -- has scored 13 points.
