Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 29 points and eight rebounds as New York outscored the Bucks, 65-44, over the second and third quarters to cruise to the victory. Three-point specialist Steve Novak added 19 points in 40 minutes off the bench, shooting 5-of-7 from behind the arc. Tyson Chandler also pitched in 17 points and eight rebounds with an almost-perfect night, going 4-of-4 from the field and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line.
The win moves the Knicks into a tie atop the Atlantic division with the Brooklyn Nets, as both teams are 10-4 on the year.
Milwaukee got almost all its scoring from its guards in the loss, which moves the Bucks to 7-6 on the season. Brandon Jennings and Beno Udrih scored 18 points apiece, combining to shoot 14-of-20 from the field. Monta Ellis added another 17 points, but the rest of the Bucks outside those three shot only 13-of-41.
