Wizards coach Randy Wittman said John Wall is still weeks from returning to the court.

When Washington Wizards point guard John Wall injured his knee, the injury was initially expected to keep him off the court for eight weeks. Wall has been out 10 weeks and Wizards coach Randy Wittman said Wall is still weeks away from returning to game action.

"We're going to look at a lot of different things," Wittman said, according to CSN Washington. "John's bearing doesn't play with that because John's still some weeks from getting on the floor and practicing."

Wittman's quote was somewhat unclear, but it was clear that Wall is not close to returning to game action.

While Wall's return to the court has already taken longer than expected, Wittman said the injury isn't worse than originally thought. Instead, Wittman said Wall is progressing at his own pace. The 22-year-old Wall is yet to do much other than shoot a few jump shots before practice.

The Wizards, who have an NBA-worst 2-15 record, have struggled to fill Wall's place in the lineup. Matters got worse this week with point guard A.J. Price now expected to miss four to six weeks with a broken hand. Price started 15 games in place of Wall this season.

With no definite timetable for Wall's return, the Wizards brought in a pair of free agents for tryouts and will rely heavily on Shaun Livingston.
