The Spurs jumped out early and led, 28-22, at the end of the first quarter, but the Jazz came storming back in the second quarter. Led by 10 second-quarter points from Paul Millsap, the Jazz outscored San Antonio, 31-16, in the second quarter and led, 53-44, at halftime. The lead didn't last long as Tony Parker led the Spurs right back in the third quarter and the teams entered the final quarter tied, 71-71.
San Antonio slowly built a lead during the fourth quarter and led by as many as eight points, but Utah had an answer. The Jazz came all the way back to tie the game, 94-94. After the teams traded baskets, Utah set up for the final possession. Williams took the inbound pass and after several dribbles walked into a three-pointer over Danny Green that hit nothing but net as time expired. Williams had just five points prior to the game-winning shot.
Millsap led the way for Utah with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Al Jefferson finished with 21 points for the Jazz. Tim Duncan and Parker each finished with 22 points for San Antonio. Duncan also finished with 21 rebounds.
The win extends Utah's winning streak to four while San Antonio's winning streak was snapped at five games.
