Spurs vs. Jazz final score: Jazz knock off Spurs at the buzzer

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

Mo Williams' three-pointer at the end of regulation led the Jazz to a 99-96 win over the Spurs.

Mo Williams hit a three-pointer as time expired and the Utah Jazz knocked off the San Antonio Spurs, 99-96.

The Spurs jumped out early and led, 28-22, at the end of the first quarter, but the Jazz came storming back in the second quarter. Led by 10 second-quarter points from Paul Millsap, the Jazz outscored San Antonio, 31-16, in the second quarter and led, 53-44, at halftime. The lead didn't last long as Tony Parker led the Spurs right back in the third quarter and the teams entered the final quarter tied, 71-71.

San Antonio slowly built a lead during the fourth quarter and led by as many as eight points, but Utah had an answer. The Jazz came all the way back to tie the game, 94-94. After the teams traded baskets, Utah set up for the final possession. Williams took the inbound pass and after several dribbles walked into a three-pointer over Danny Green that hit nothing but net as time expired. Williams had just five points prior to the game-winning shot.
