The Los Angeles Lakers snapped a four-game losing skid on Friday, besting the basement-dwelling Washington Wizards.

The Los Angeles Lakers managed to snap a four-game losing skid on Friday, besting the lowly Washington Wizards, 102-96. The Lakers (now 10-14) have picked up many of their wins on losing teams and Friday's game was no different, as the Wizards are now 3-17 on the season, which is the worst in the NBA.

Los Angeles pulled away in the third quarter, after ending out the first half with just a three-point lead. They outscored Washington 25-14 in the third quarter, and that was the difference maker in this one. Washington started to bring it back in the fourth, outscoring the Lakers 27-19 in that frame, but it wasn't enough.

Kobe Bryant picked up 30 points on the day, shooting 9-of-29 from the field, and sinking 11-of-13 free throws. Dwight Howard still isn't quite making his presence felt on the court, but he did manage to snag 14 rebounds and four blocks in the game.

The Lakers will get a day off before heading to Philadelphia to take on the 76ers on Sunday, where they'll try to make it two wins in a row. The Wizards will hit the road to take on the Miami Heat on Saturday.
