The Knicks have all the New York bragging rights after the win over Brooklyn.
For the second time in three meetings this season, the New York Knicks defeated the Brooklyn Nets. This one had the biggest margin of the three games, as the Knicks prevailed, 100-86.
The Knicks improved to 19-6 with the win, and much of that credit can be given to Carmelo Anthony. Despite almost sitting the game out with an ankle injury, Anthony finished with 31 points.
Others stepping up for New York were Tyson Chandler, who tallied 16 points and 12 rebounds, and J.R. Smith, who came off the bench for 19 points.
The Nets were done in by a poor second half, in which they scored just 38 points. The loss on Wednesday was the third straight for Brooklyn, and drops its record to 13-12.
New York will now turn its attention to a home game against the Chicago Bulls on Friday. Meanwhile, the Nets take on the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.
