The Denver Nuggets head on the road to take on the Los Angeles Clippers in the first of three meetings between the two teams this season.
The Clippers went on a huge win streak over the past couple of weeks to vault towards the top of the Western Conference. But playing the Nuggets will provide a bit more of a challenge. During the win streak, the Clippers only played three teams currently headed for the playoffs - Chicago, Milwaukee and Minnesota.
Staples Center has proved nice for the Clippers this year, where they have only lost three games at home. The Nuggets have struggled a bit on the road lately, going just 3-7 since Nov. 26. In six of those seven losses, their opponents have scored more than 100 points. On the flip side, the last team to score more than 100 points against the Clippers at Staples Center was the Denver Nuggets back on Nov. 26.
This is the first of three meetings between the two teams. They will face off again on New Years Day.
