Although the Knicks have lost three of five, Carmelo Anthony has played well in that span, shooting 47 percent from the field.

The New York Knicks will try to recover from their Christmas Day loss to the Los Angeles Lakers when they visit the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night. New York has lost three of its last five contests. The Suns have lost two games in a row after they won four straight.

New York's recent struggles can be partially attributed to weaker three-point shooting. The Knicks rely on the long ball more than any other team and average 39.3 percent shooting from behind the arc. But in their last five games, New York has managed to shoot just 31.2 percent from long range.

Similarly, Phoenix has struggled from three-point range lately. In their two most recent losses, the Suns were just 8 of 36 (22.2 percent) from beyond the arc. Still, three-pointers are less integral to the Suns' success. While the Knicks average 29.1 three-point attempts per game, Phoenix tries just 18.8.
