Retirement is a real possibility for Brandon Roy after the latest setback to his fragile knees.

With his troublesome knees acting up yet again, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Brandon Roy is considering retiring for the second time in the last three years, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

This news comes on the heels of an earlier report from Wojnarowski claiming Roy had suffered a setback in his rehab from a Nov. 19 knee surgery.

But even with doctors questioning if his knees "can withstand the grind of playing in the NBA," Roy has not come to a final decision on the future of his playing career yet, according to Wojnarowski's sources.

Roy signed a two-year, $10 million contract with the Timberwolves this past off season after deciding to come out of retirement following a platelet-rich plasma procedure. He was only able to get five regular-season games in for Minnesota before undergoing his seventh knee surgery since high school. The 28-year-old Roy averaged 5.8 points, 4.6 assists and 2.8 rebounds in those five appearances.
