Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Kevin Martin combined to score 73 points for the Thunder.
The Oklahoma City Thunder easily handled the Houston Rockets Saturday night, defeating their Western Conference foes 124-94.
The Thunder took a five-point advantage into the second quarter before opening things up for good. Oklahoma City entered the half leading 68-50 after putting up 37 points in the frame. Houston wasn’t able to cut into the advantage in either of the final two quarters.
Oklahoma City was led by Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. Durant scored 26 points on 8-of-18 shooting, while Westbrook added 28 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and three steals.
James Harden and Marcus Morris were the standout contributors for the Rockets. Harden scored 25 points on 6-of-17 shooting with three rebounds and two steals. Morris was more efficient, shooting 9-of-14 for 24 points while also contributing six rebounds.
The Thunder’s next game is Monday night when they host the Phoenix Suns. Houston also plays on Monday, as they will be welcoming the Atlanta Hawks.
