The Los Angeles Clippers pounded the Dallas Mavericks, 112-90, in a wire-to-wire victory in the Staples Center. The Clippers took a 29-18 first-quarter lead, increased it to 60-42 at halftime, then generally kept their distance the rest of the way.
The Clippers had six of their players put up double figures in scoring. They were led by Jamal Crawford with 20 points. Blake Griffin added 19 points and 13 rebounds, and Chris Paul put in 14 points, 13 assists and five steals. Caron Butler scored 16 points, DeAndre Jordan added 12 points and Matt Barnes put in 11 of his own. The Mavericks had five of their own players in double figures, led by Vince Carter with 16 and Derek Fisher with 15 points.
The Clippers shot 50% from the field and held the Mavericks to 40.5% shooting. The Clippers outdished the Mavericks, 30 to 20, and outrebounded Dallas, 49 to 41. Los Angeles won its fourth game in a row to improve to 12-6 on the season, dropping the Mavericks to 8-10.
