Miami Heat forward Shane Battier will return to the court tonight after missing the last three games due to injury.

After missing the last three games due to injury, Miami Heat forward Shane Battier is expected to be available to play tonight against the New York Knicks, according to a report from Tom Haberstroh of ESPN.com.

Battier sprained the MCL in his knee on Nov. 24 against the Cleveland Cavilers when the 11-year veteran collided with teammate Udonis Haslem after taking a charge. Battier missed games against the San Antonio Spurs, the Brooklyn Nets and the Washington Wizards. The Heat went 2-1 in his absence, with the only loss coming against the Wizards on Dec. 4.

With Battier out, the Heat turned to Rashard Lewis to take Battier's spot in the starting lineup. It hasn't been disclosed if Battier will be back in the starting lineup or how many minutes he will log tonight.

In other injury news, the Heat also expect Mario Chalmers, Udonis Haslem and Norris Cole to be available tonight as well, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com
