Derrick Rose: 'This Is The Most I've Ever Been Injured'

Derrick Rose was forced to miss the Chicago Bulls game on Sunday afternoon against the Boston Celtics with a back injury, making it the seventh game he's missed this season. That isn't a trend the reigning MVP is happy about, either, judging by his comments Sunday.

"This is the most I've ever been injured," Rose told the Chicago Tribune. "It's frustrating knowing I worked so hard. Hopefully I'll be back soon. I hate missing games, especially against great teams."

To put Rose's comments into perspective, the All-Star point guard missed a total of six games over the course of his first three seasons in the league while playing roughly 3,000 minutes each year. This season, he's played in 23 of the Bulls' 30 games, though a couple of them saw him miss considerable playing time due to either the back and toe injuries he's been dealing with this year.

There isn't really cause for concern until he finds out something definitive from the specialist he's seeing on Monday, but being given the injury-prone label wouldn't be a good thing considering Rose is only 23 with plenty of upside ahead of him.
