Kings Vs. Knicks: Knicks Up Eight After First Quarter

The Sacramento Kings have won six of their last seven trips, including their last four, into Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Knicks, but find themselves down 25-17 after the first 12 minutes on Wednesday night.

Amare Stoudemire leads the Knicks with nine points on four-of-six shooting, while guard Landry Fields has added seven points on two-of-three shooting and a game-high four rebounds. In 10 minutes, Jeremy Lin has five points and a game-high six assists.

As a team, the Knicks have been red-hot from the floor, hitting 11-of-22 attempts, including two-of-six from beyond the arc. The Kings were seven-of-22 from the field in the first quarter.

For the Kings, guard Marcus Thornton has seven points on two-of-five shooting from the field, while power forward DeMarcus Cousins has six points and two rebounds, along with a pair of fouls in eight minutes.
