Point guard Rajon Rondo has eight points, two rebounds and two assists as the Boston Celtics have opened up a 24-18 lead over the Chicago Bulls after the first quarter of tonight's game at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Celtics forward Paul Pierce has added six points on three-of-seven shooting from the floor, while power forward Kevin Garnett has four points. Center Jermaine O'Neal has a team-high four rebounds.
The Celtics have struggled shooting from beyond the arc, missing all four attempts, but are 12-21 on two-point goal attempts after the first quarter. The Bulls are just six-of-19 from the floor, including two-of-two on three-point attempts, with forward Carlos Boozer scoring a team-high seven points. Boozer played all 12 minutes of the first quarter, as did point guard C.J. Watson, who has added five points. Luol Deng has four points and center Joakim Noah leads the Bulls with four rebounds.
