The Los Angeles Clippers had struggled to score all night against the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Garden. But then the fourth quarter came, and Chris Paul took over. Paul scored all of his 13 points in the fourth quarter and led the Clippers to a comeback 74-71 victory over the Blazers.
Paul made five of his seven shots in the fourth quarter and spearheaded the Clippers' 16-7 run to close the game. Blake Griffin led all scorers with 21 points and had 14 rebounds, while Mo Williams added 17 points off the bench and a transition three-pointer to put the Clippers in the lead for good.
Nicolas Batum had 15 points in the first quarter for Portland, but scored just four more en route to finishing with 19 points to tie with Jamal Crawford for the Blazers' lead in scoring. The duo made up for a horrific night from Raymond Felton, who missed all seven of his shots, had five turnovers, and handed out just two assists.
The Blazers led by 11 points at halftime and as many as 18 points in the third quarter.
