The second and third placed teams in the Western Conference face off on TNT on Thursday night, and if their game is anywhere near as good as the one they played on Sunday, everyone is in for a treat. The Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets play Thursday night's national television late game, less than a week after the Clippers defeated Denver 109-105 in Colorado.
Chauncey Billups got a hero's welcome on his return to the arena where he played for just under three seasons before he was moved in the Carmelo Anthony trade. The game was also a return from injury for Billups and he put together a spectacular performance, scoring 32 points and drawing an offensive foul in the final minute to ice the game.
Denver followed up that close loss with an overtime loss to Memphis on Tuesday night, but they still sit at 14-7 and in great playoff position. The Clippers are coming off of a big road win against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night, in which Chris Paul and Blake Griffin scored 30-plus points.
Game Date/Time: Thursday, 10:30 p.m. ET
Venue: Staples Center, Los Angeles, Calif.
