Bulls Vs. Knicks: New York Needs To End Miserable Run

The New York Knicks have lost nine of their last 11, but they'll be looking to build on their recent win over the Detroit Pistons when they take on the Chicago Bulls on Thursday.

Over their last 11 games, the New York Knicks are 2-9. After an average, promising 6-4 start to the season, Mike D'Antoni's club has fallen off a cliff. On Thursday, they welcome the Chicago Bulls, the team with the NBA's best record, to Madison Square Garden.

The good news for the Knicks is that they finally looked good in their last game against the Detroit Pistons, while the Bulls looked poor in a road game against the Philadelphia 76ers. These are much different levels of competition this season, however, and those performances aren't necessarily indicative of quality or form for either team.

Carmelo Anthony returned for that rout of the Pistons on Tuesday after missing two games with an ankle injury, and the Knicks were seriously boosted by his presence as the scored 25 points in the win. It goes without saying that Melo will likely need an even bigger game than he had on Tuesday for the Knicks to record a victory. The Bulls have not lost two straight at any point during this season.

Game Date/Time: Thursday, 8:00 p.m. ET

Venue: Madison Square Garden, New York, New York

TV: TNT
