Celtics Vs. Thunder: Can Kevin Durant And Co. Stay Hot At Home?

Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night as they look to keep a near-flawless record intact on the home court.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have only lost one game at home this season, but it won't be easy to keep that near-flawless record intact through the upcoming NBA All-Star weekend. Before taking off to Orlando for a few days of rest and an exhibition game, Kevin Durant and the Thunder have to host the Boston Celtics on Wednesday before doing the same for the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

The Thunder have gone 13-1 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena while compiling their current 25-7 record with just the two primetime games left on the schedule before the NBA takes a break. There will be no shortage of pressure on Oklahoma City as Wednesday night's game will be televised on ESPN while Thursday's game is scheduled to take place on TNT.

With Thursday night's showdown looming, though, the Thunder might actually overlook the Celtics ... which might not be as bad of a plan as it typically would be, considering the circumstances.

The Celtics have dropped below .500 following losses in their past four games, leaving a bit to be desired when it comes to them being the threats they were not long ago. Rajon Rondo will have to serve the second game of a suspension against the Thunder, too, meaning Russell Westbrook could have an even bigger impact than usual in Wednesday night's affair.

If the Thunder do indeed overlook the Celtics, they may have enough left in them to pick up a surprise victory on the road. There's probably an equal chance they play it out and attempt to regroup following the long weekend, though.
