This actually sounds like a plotline in a buddy cop sitcom. Just Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti and Los Angeles Lakers head coach Mike Brown riding around, fighting crime and getting into all sorts of wacky situations.
Oh, and mixtapes. Plenty of mixtapes.
"He used to be into music. I don't know if he is now, but he used to make me music CDs," Brown said before the Lakers' game against the Thunder on Thursday. "I listen to all types of music. I like the jazz, smooth, mellow type. He turned me on to that a little bit. He's a good guy."
Via Land O' Lakers
Remember back in the day when mixtapes (and mix CDs) were all the rage? Are they still? Do people still know what a mixtape is?
The context here is that Presti and Brown used to work together in the San Antonio Spurs organization. They each enjoyed music and Presti apparently passed the time by making mixtapes for Brown. But still: Buddy cop sitcom, please.
