It seems that the second Joel Przybilla era with the Portland Trail Blazers will begin again soon, as the veteran big man passed his physical over the weekend to clear the way for the team to re-sign the free agent center. Before the Blazers do that, however, they'll have to waive one of their current players.
The Blazers decided to put Przybilla through a physical on Sunday and, even though he passed, acting general manager Chad Buchanan told the Oregonian that Przybilla wouldn't be signed until Monday.
"We aren't going to comment on anything until (Monday),'' Buchanan said in a text message. "Our focus today is on LaMarcus (Aldridge) and the All-Star Game.''
To make room for Przybilla, the Blazers have a few options. The easiest option would be to cut second-year pro Armon Johnson, but there's a possibility the Blazers could waive Greg Oden, too, since he's already out for the season. If the latter happens, well, that'll be interesting.
