Gilbert Arenas on the Los Angeles Lakers? Hey, anything's possible.
According to a report by CBSSports.com's Ken Berger, the Lakers are waiting on details about a workout that Arenas is planning in the Los Angeles area later this week. Laker GM Mitch Kupchak is said to be open-minded about attending according to sources.
While the team is currently on the East Coast, Kupchak has remained on the West Coast in case the workout happens.
The oft-injured 30-year-old was waived by the Orlando Magic via the amnesty clause after averaging 8.0 points in 49 games for Orlando last season.
Arenas played 70 games for Orlando and the Washington Wizards in 2010-11, averaging 10.8 points. It was his first full season since serving a 50-game suspension for bringing guns into the Wizards' locker room in 2009.
Of course, it's worth noting that bringing the former All-Star on board could further unhinge Kobe Bryant, who had a bit of a verbal beef with Arenas back in 2006. Can the Mamba and Hibachi co-exist? We might just find out.

We need someone, why not him? I dont see us making any deals or trades to get anyone else and we need a guard that can handle the ball and score.
