The Washington Wizards are shopping center JaVale McGee but are looking for a strong return, reports Yahoo!'s Marc Spears. McGee is an interesting case as he'll be a restricted free agent on July 1, eligible for a fat new contract. While whichever team employs him on Friday -- once the trade deadline has passed -- will have the right of first refusal, it's expected that McGee's new annual salary will reach eight figures. The comparable DeAndre Jordan makes $11 million per season on average after his foray into restricted free agency in December; McGee is actually more productive.
If the Wizards are able to land an asset for McGee, it will have cut short one of the world's greatest comedy troupes, that being JaVale and the collective DVR brigade of the District of Columbia.
McGee is averaging career per-game bests in points (11.9), rebounds (8.8), blocks (2.5) and GIFs (∞).
