If you were watching the Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics play "basketball" on Monday, may we ask why? It was bad. Like, really bad -- with minimal scoring, slow-moving players and some ugly misses. But it did give us the most fitting ending possible, so that's a positive in all this.
Jeff Teague had a chance to tie the game with time winding down, perhaps forcing an unwanted overtime session. And the shot to tie was open -- incredibly wide open. He was able to get set on the wing beyond the arc and launch what would've been the game-tying three.
You can probably guess what happened next.
From the first angle, it looks kind of like the shot is on line. Then we get a look at the second angle, from behind the play. That thing wasn't anywhere near the rim. It wasn't in the same area code. It might be one of the worst airballs you'll ever see (research project!).
