Lakers Vs. Mavericks Final Score: Kobe Bryant Scores 30 In 109-93 Victory

The Dallas Mavericks didn't have an answer for the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant, but not many teams do. The guard scored 30 points on 11-of-18 shooting in the Lakers' 109-93 victory Wednesday night, ending a two-game losing streak.

Bryant highlighted the night when he caught a pass under the basket while in mid-air and then flipped the ball over his head for two points and the foul. He grabbed five rebounds and distributed the ball four times to complete his night. Pau Gasol followed Bryant closely with 27 points and nine rebounds. To mild surprise, Gasol sank a three-point attempt.

The Lakers received a strong game from its recent acquisition, Ramon Sessions. The guard scored 17 points off the bench on 7-of-8 shooting, 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. He added nine assists and pulled down five rebounds.

The Mavericks attempted to keep pace with the Lakers, as evidenced by Dirk Nowitzki's 26 points and Jason Terry's 23, but no other Dallas player was able to reach double-digit points. Vince Carter came closest with nine points. Dallas lost the shooting battle, 58.4 percent to 42.7 percent, hurt mostly by the 8-of-26 performance from three-point territory.

The Lakers return home for a Friday game against the Portland Trail Blazers. The Mavericks stay in-state but travel for a Friday game against the San Antonio Spurs.
