LeBron James Injury: Heat Forward Plans To Play Through Dislocated Finger

Miami Heat star forward LeBron James injured the ring finger on his left (non-shooting) hand, but that won't keep him from missing any games. As James told reporters on Wednesday (via ESPN's Mike Wallace):

"I'll be ready. I hate using injuries as an excuse. If I'm in uniform, then I should be good to go. The only recovery for it, the doctors told me, was rest. And I think we all know I'm having none of that."

The injury didn't come to light until Tuesday reports emerged, which James confirmed Wednesday. According to Wallace, James "popped" the finger back in and finished the remainder of the game. James scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds against the Indiana Pacers in the contest.

James will play against the Dallas Mavericks in Miami Thursday night. TNT will broadcast the game at 8:00 p.m. ET for those interested in watching how well LBJ plays with an injury he is seemingly not concerned with right now.
