Steve Nash Says He'd Listen To Free Agency Pitch From Miami Heat

Phoenix Suns point guard Steve Nash is one of the highest-profile players who will be entering free agency after the 2011-12 NBA season. He has spent 10 of his 16 seasons in the league with the Suns, but in a radio interview with Dan Patrick on Thursday, Nash said he would listen if LeBron James made a pitch for the point guard to join the Miami Heat.

"I would listen," Nash said. "He's phenomenal. I love what they're doing there. A lot of people don't like them because they put all that talent there. But they're professional, they play hard, they play together. Their coaching staff has done a great job, so I have a tremendous amount of respect for them.

Just how serious Nash is about joining the Heat is up for debate. He has generally been pretty content where he is, but with his career winding down, he might be willing to relocate for a chance at a championship ring. The Heat don't have much cap space to work with, so Nash may have to be willing to play for the mid-level exception if he wants to go to Miami.
