Kevin Love was helped from the court after taking an elbow to the head that left him in a heap on the ground.
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love crumpled to the ground and stayed down for quite a while on Wednesday night after taking an elbow to the face. At the time, Love was under the hoop to take a charge from Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee. The two collided hard and Love clearly got the worst of it, going down in a heap and staying there as nearby teammates motioned for trainers.
Here's the moment of impact. Notice Love's head and McGee's elbow.
Here's Love down, looking incredibly dazed under the hoop.
From the looks of it, and considering he took a hard blow to the head in the collision, Love may have been out cold momentarily. It was enough to cause J.J. Barea to scream for the trainers after seeing Love down on the ground, apparently unresponsive for a moment.
The Wolves have ruled Love out for the rest of the game with a head injury, as well.
Official report from T-Wolves locker room: Kevin Love out for remainder of the game with a head injury.
