Heat Vs. Knicks Score: Stars Are Shining As Miami Leads New York, 46-44

For the second straight Sunday, Carmelo Anthony is putting on a show on national television. The Knicks forward tallied 22 points, seven rebounds and three assists in the first half vs. the Heat, but New York trails by a score of 46-44 at half.

The Heat led by as many as 11 in the first quarter, but the Knicks turned it on in the second half. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade have turned in excellent performances so far. James has 15 points and seven rebounds while Wade added 14 points, four rebounds and three assists.

Statistically, the teams were pretty much even at half, with the lone obvious advantage being Miami's +7 advantage on the boards.

But if the Heat don't want to see this game end in Hero Ball x 2 with Anthony, they'll have to lock him up in the second half. James seemed pleased with how Miami made Anthony work in the first half to get his buckets on tough shots.

"He's making contested twos," James told Lisa Salters on ABC. "That's what our defense is built around."

LeBron said they'll live with Carmelo taking those shots in the second half, but if they keep going down, it could be a long afternoon for Miami.
