Nuggets Vs. Suns Final Score: Denver Into Playoffs With 118-107 Win

With a win on Saturday, the Phoenix Suns would have kept two playoff spots open in the Western Conference. Instead, the Denver Nuggets put on a fantastic performance on the road in Arizona, and clinched a playoff berth in the process with a 118-107 win. There is now just one playoff spot up for grabs, which Phoenix will fight the Utah Jazz for. The Houston Rockets are a longshot to grab the spot, but have not yet been eliminated.

Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson put together one of the best performances of his career with 29 points on 10-16 shooting to go along with 10 assists. Kenneth Faried had a double-double of his own with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Steve Nash had 13 assists and passed Oscar Robertson for fifth on the all-time list, but scored just eight points. The Suns shot just 46 percent as a team to Denver's 55 percent.

Nuggets Vs. Suns Score: Denver Leads 60-58 At Halftime

The Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns look very much like two teams in need of wins to solidify their playoff positions. Both are playing at a very high pace, which is hardly surprising for a game between these two teams, and both teams are knocking down open shots. It's been close throughout, and Denver leads 60-58 at the half.

Steve Nash already has 10 assists to surpass Oscar Robertson for fifth all-time. Phoenix is still without Grant Hill, but Shannon Brown stepped up in the first half with an unexpected 13 points. Marcin Gortat leads the Suns with 14 points and five rebounds.

On the other end, Ty Lawson has 16 points and five assists while Kenneth Faried has an impressive 14 points and five rebounds. Denver has also gotten a surprising performance from Corey Brewer off the bench. He has eight points on 4-5 shooting.
