Metta World Peace had a little bit of a Ron Artest-y moment right before halftime of Sunday's matchup with the Thunder. World Peace was having a pretty nice game, actually leading the recently-with-Kobe Bryant Lakers with 12 points, when he got a little bit too excited coming back down court after scoring a bucket. It started out with a celebration and ended up with him absolutely obliterating James Harden with an elbow to the head.
Here's the bow in GIF form:
Artest tried to explain the hit by telling the ref that he was just celebrating his score by pounding on his chest, but it didn't work: the hit looks pretty intentional, and he was ejected. He'll probably get suspended.
And yes, yes, yes, his name is "World Peace" and he just elbowed a dude in the head.
